The Crew

Growing up in the north of England, Damian started his IT career in 2009.

Since 2016 he has lived in the Netherlands, working for multiple large public companies.

After several personal events and a very bizarre year of work, he decided to focus more time on enjoying life, first becoming a scuba diving instructor.

With opportunities to teach scuba diving during the winter, a lack of desire to buy a house & love of travelling, a solution was needed.

Powered by a random idea that cruising might be the answer, some spare money & 1 week of recent training, the search for a suitable boat started.

After 6 months & seeing the listings of hundreds of boats, a suggestion from a local broker lead to the viewing & eventually offer on Vista Mar.

Living aboard since late 2021, Damian spent the winter preparing to sail and finally set sail in early 2022.

The journey is ongoing, with lots of fun happening along the way and planned for the future.
